| Five Steps toward getting a
Free Computer:
Please submit all information
together. |
| 1. |
Determine if you are
qualified to apply.
|
Of course, only students (and their
families) that truly can't afford to buy a computer can qualify for
one. If you need more
information about this, call Bill or LaVerne @ 452-2683. |
| 2. |

|
Print and fill out the
Application Form. Click the button to the left to open the form for
printing. |
| 3. |
 |
Print and fill out the School
Performance Form. School attendance and academic effort may determine the priority of delivery of computers to
applicants.
This should also be sent to the above address. |
| 4. |
Complete 10 hours Community
Service and provide proof.
Please
click here to get instructions that the non-profit must have to
document
your service. |
As stated on the qualifications
page, the student in your family must donate 10 hours of community service.
Proof of this service must be sent to Bill and LaVerne at the same address
on formal letterhead of the organization being served.
We need a letter (on official stationary) from the non-profit organization
where you volunteered.

Here are some of the details
about the computers and software we provide: |
|
We place computers in homes that don't presently
have...
and can not afford to buy a computer.
Is
it better to go with with laptops or desktops? Click here to find
out.
We are presently, normally giving
Pentium 4 desk top computers.
If we have them, we only give laptop
computers to full-time college students who attend all "on site" college
classes.
Laptop
computers are very easy to damage and very difficult to repair.
If you would rather not wait
for us to build one, and can afford to buy a good used computer...
Call:
Valley Environmental
at
235-1500 ( 1040 Market SW), or
CompRenew at 451-4400
(629 Ionia SW)
We place

papers),
spreadsheet, (doing accounting), and database,
(organizing lists of people and things).

financial management program
that can help you balance your check book, keep track of your
household bills, and do other financial management tasks that are
helpful.
